This is the Dark History of Genocide Papua New West 1970 Revealed

Recent report prepared by the Asian Human Rights Commission ( AHRC), Hong Kong stated that Indonesia using the Australian -supplied helicopters in genocide or mass killings of civilians in West Papua in the 1970s . In addition , there are two Iroquois helicopters ( a collection of indigenous people of North America ) the Indonesian military deployed to the highlands of Papua between 1977-1978 .

According to the AHRC , the military operations led to more than 4,000 indigenous Papuans were killed , mostly akibar air strikes from helicopters and OV - 10 Bronco aircraft of the United States .

AHRC report presented in the Indonesian army atrocities which are considered to be " brutal and inhumane " . Some survivors told the AHRC that the troops forcing Papuans to eat their own feces , while they were detained by the military forced march and fired blindly . Papuan women are also not immune from sexual violence . Some women have a buried , burned , even boiled alive .

In the research report takes 3 years , mentioned that Indonesian military officers , including former president Soeharto , involved in the mass murder of West Papua .

" The length of authoritarian rule under Suharto has really silenced the Indonesian people not to discuss the dark history associated Papua , " said Basil Fernando , AHRC director for policy and program development .
" Without the awareness of the government and people of Indonesia will depravity that occurred in Papua , the conflict in the region will continue to happen . Supposedly there own efforts of the government to uphold justice for the people of Papua , one of which is to fulfill their right to the truth , " said Fernando .

Meanwhile , Jennifer Robinson, of the International Lawyers for West Papua believes that the West Papuan genocide statements made
​​AHRC " invaluable " .

"For too long the United Nations ( UN ) and the international community ignore the suffering of the people of West Papua Indonesia due to crime . Without awareness and justice , there will be no peace in Papua , " said Robinson .
